How it invented?

Invention idea of the Raspberry Pi came from the University of Cambridge’s Computer Laboratory in 2006 where Eben Upton, Rob Mullins, Jack Lang, and Alan Mycroft presented who was the student of University of Cambridge. They needed a mini and portable computer with an affordable amount.

They started a collaboration with Pete Lomas who is MD of  Norcott Technologies and David Braben who is the co-author of the seminal BBC Micro game Elite in 2008.

The first generation of Raspberry Pi is Raspberry Pi 1 Model B which was released in February 2012 and then Model A released in 2014. Raspberry Pi 1 Model A is cheaper and simpler than older model of Pi. The Foundation of Raspberry Pi improved design and functionality of Pi board and released the advanced version of Model B which is known as Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+. This board size is a credit card so it is also known as a Credit card sized computer.

In 2014 it released the embedded application with Pi. The Raspberry Pi 2 released in 2015 added with more RAM. A Raspberry Pi Zero release with Input/Output and General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) capabilities in November 2015 which size is more smaller than other Pi models.

Raspberry Pi Zero W was released which is a version of the Pi Zero with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities in 28 February 2017 and the Raspberry Pi Zero WH was released with pre-soldered GPIO headers.

In February 2016 Raspberry Pi 3 Model B was launched with a 64-bit quad core processor and USB boot capability and then Raspberry Pi Model 3B+ was launched in Pi Day 2018 with 1.4 GHz faster processor speed.
